Deference

Deference is manifested in a number of ways:

• Respectfulness
• Humility
• Intense listening
• Empathy
• Expressed vulnerability
• Serving
• Transparent interactions
• Sharing
• Giving

Many of my personal heroes commit most, if not all, of these acts of deference as a matter of course.  In fact, as I reflect on their behaviors it is apparent to me that they have simply turned these notable acts/behaviors into habits.  

Pretty nice list of things to work on for getting better, every day, on purpose, huh?
