Just finished reading The Kill Artist by Daniel Silva (2004).
Retired operative of Israeli counter-terrorism forces, Gabriel Allon, was
minding his own business, doing what he loved (which was restoring priceless
art). Then he got called back into service. His new mission was to
interdict a plot by a Palestinian zealot named Tariq, who is bent on assassinating his very own leader, Yasser Arafat, during a peace-crafting event in New York. Allon, teamed with a beautiful French model, engages in a very high-stakes
manhunt to find and foil the plans of Tariq.
This book moves quickly and
provides some twists and turns, but not many surprises. Classic good guys versus the bad guys
stuff. A good read.
Only my second Silva novel, but it won’t be
my last.
